When we launched Phenom Poker, many of our early adopters were individuals with large poker networks or established Poker Agents. At the time, it made sense for our public referral program to reflect this agent-style structure.
As the site continues to grow, we clearly see a distinction between casual players who just want to refer a friend or two, and individuals who have built a business around onboarding players. Therefore, we believe it is time for our referral model to clearly reflect this distinction.
From June 22nd, we are changing our standard public referral program to be more straightforward and easier to understand, while simultaneously expanding the opportunities available to those who want to focus professionally on onboarding players and accommodating their specific needs.
For the latter, we are building a focused, dedicated Agent Program for partners who are serious about growing with us. This means better deals, more support, and a direct working relationship with the Phenom team. By doing this, our operational team can focus heavily on supporting our Agents while automating the standard public referral program.
What’s Changing?
The existing public referral revenue share program is being retired as of June 22nd.
From this date onward, public referrals will no longer earn an ongoing percentage of player revenue. Instead, all public referrals will move to a simplified flat-payment structure.
Under the new model, referrers will receive a one-time $50 payment for each referred player who reaches $100 in gross rake. There is no monthly cap on the number of qualifying referrals.
Next Steps
All existing public referral links will remain active after June 22nd, however they will move to the new referral structure described above.
If you have referred players who have not yet reached the $100 qualification threshold, their progress will seamlessly carry over into the new structure. As soon as they reach $100 in gross rake, the $50 payment will be released automatically.
