When I am arranging my seven cards into my Top (1 card), Middle (2 cards), and Bottom (4 cards) rows, I stick to a strict, disciplined formula:

- The Middle Row (2 Cards): I hunt for pocket pairs. If I am dealt a pair in my seven cards, I place it in the middle—the higher the pair, the better.
- The Bottom Row (4 Cards): This is my Omaha engine. Because this row forces us to play exact Omaha rules (using exactly two hole cards and three board cards), I need maximum connectivity. I look for high straight potential and double-suited flush possibilities. (Pro Tip: I avoid putting four of the same suit here, as it just blocks my own flush outs!)

Hand 1: The Perfect Storm
- Dealt: A♠, K♥, K♦, J♣, 10♣, 9♦, 8♦
- My Setup:
- Top: A♠
- Middle: K♥ K♦
- Bottom: J♣ 10♣ 9♦ 8♦
- My Take: "This is a textbook setup for me. I have the ultimate high card up top, a monster pair in the middle, and a beautifully connected, double-suited Omaha hand on the bottom. I have two different flush draws and massive straight potential without blocking my own outs. I just set this and wait for the sweep."
Hand 2: The Broadway Rundown
- Dealt: Q♥, 5♠, 5♣, A♦, K♦, J♠, 10♠
- My Setup:
- Top: A♦
- Middle: 5♠ 5♣
- Bottom: K♦ Q♥ J♠ 10♠
- My Take: "I always secure that Top row when I have the absolute nuts for it. The Ace goes up top to guarantee I am crushing that 1-card matchup. I stick with my pocket 5s in the middle. Even after moving the Queen down to replace the Ace, my bottom row of K-Q-J-10 is a monster broadway rundown. It is incredibly connected for huge straights and still gives me a spade flush draw. I secure the top, and let the bottom row build a straight."
Hand 3: Surviving the Scrap
- Dealt: K♣, 9♥, 9♦, 7♠, 6♠, 5♣, 4♣
- My Setup:
- Top: K♣
- Middle: 9♥ 9♦
- Bottom: 7♠ 6♠ 5♣ 4♣
- My Take: "Not every hand I am dealt is a monster, but I still follow my formula. The King protects my top row, the nines give me a fighting chance in the middle, and my bottom row is a perfectly connected double-suited rundown. I just play the system and let the math work."
