Setting up MetaMask (example)
- Go to metamask.io or download the app from your app store
- Click Create a New Wallet
- Set a strong password
- Write down your Secret Recovery Phrase (12 words) and store it somewhere safe — this is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access
- Confirm your recovery phrase
- Your wallet is ready!
Adding the Polygon network to MetaMask
- Open MetaMask
- Click the network dropdown at the top
- Select Add Network and search for Polygon
- Switch to the Polygon network
